Textiles

My art practice shifted in 2020, with my comics becoming more tactile through embroidery, wall hangings and my ‘quilted comics’.

Working with textiles allows me to slow down and care for the work I’m creating. I draw parallels between cotton stitches and the sutures from my top surgery, using embroidery to honour and adorn my trans body.
